The group named itself "Wilco" after the military and commercial aviation radio voice abbreviation for "will comply", a choice which Tweedy has called "fairly ironic for a rock band to name themselves.

I'm sure it affected his personality but it is so easy to function with pill addiction. It didn't affect him all that much. He was still very functional.
