Walked out this morn into the mist
My head heavy with woe
Took heed of mother nature's call
To tarry and go slow
Where -'pon I spied in dappled sun
As oft-times seen before
A portal from this modern mire
To timeless days of yore
Up ahead a wondrous sight
Of incandescent blue
Revealed itself a trick of light
As then I nearer drew
Two times was thus deceived
Until at last I saw
The very vision I believed
Had been moments before
If you believe in magic
It'll rise up from the ground
When you fear you've lost your way
Turn your head around
When you know that there are angels
You can have one of your own
That'll fill your days with wonder
Bring light into your home
Each twelve-month I venture forth
Onto the Isle of Glass
Laid low by gender, politics
Religion, war and class
There I find, with open heart
Among those clouded hills
Respite from insanity
And balm for man-made ills
If you believe in magic
It'll rise up from the ground
When you fear you've lost your way
Turn your head around
When you know that there are angels
You can have one of your own
That'll fill your days with wonder
Bring light into your home
And I know that there is magic
Always there just out of reach
Every now and then you'll have it
In a sunset or on a beach
And I know that there are angels
Watching over all we do
Guiding us through all life's dangers
Inside me, inside of you
If you believe in magic
It'll rise up from the ground
When you fear you've lost your way
Turn your head around
When you know that there are angels
You can have one of your own
That'll fill your days with wonder
Bring light into your home
If you believe in magic
It'll rise up from the ground
When you fear you've lost your way
Turn your head around
