I watched the waves
Wash across the shore
I threw a pebble
And I can't see it anymore
I wish that I could track it
See the worlds it will find
Take pictures of it all
With just my feeble mind
I watched the stars
Twirl around our sky
Lighting up my tired eyes
And never telling why
A shining bit of mystery
Suspended in abyss
Pictured constellations
Who'd want more than this
I watched the forest
Swaying side to side
A waltz of sorts, I'd say
Like the ocean's sweetest tide
The leaves seem to hold me
In a world I can't see
But that's alright, my dear
It's okay with me
I saw the world
That surrounds me
I'd want nothing more
Than to be here, and breathe
The calmest of breezes
Flows through my tired pores
I feel it and I smile
For who could ask for more
