And implement all the things that Jesus was doing
But people in the world dealing with a lot of hurt
So they don't really care what these pastors be saying
I took philosophy, an interesting class
At one point in the lesson my professor had to ask
Do you honestly believe in this God on your own
Or do your family believe in something they don't know?
Flashback to the time that I couldn't really speak
Yo I grabbed a pen and a pad, started doing poetry
Then I realized that I was given this voice
In the process, folks didn't like my words of choice
People got mad and folks said that I was tripping
All my friends started flocking
All of these people started leaving
I still said yes to that lingering question
And through all that I think I found my real passion
