The boy sitting in his room
At age 9
The boy reading his favorite book
Before bed
Little did he know that life was mean and cruel
With his red hair, and green eyes, he smiled
But it didn't last forever
7 years later
He was 16
With a dream to be a active leader, a mighty teacher,
That could change the world for good
But the world didn't agree with it
And the world didn't let him forget
Oh
Your high pitched voice and your dressing choice makes us think
Your sparkling smile and your dandelion style makes us think
You're gay
The boy sat down
With a big big frown and said
To them
I have a high pitched voice but it's not my choice it is
It just is
He thinks to himself and sheds a tear
He knows he's not gay and that's his fear
Why do they think that
Why do they think that
He reminds himself of his early years
With his strawberry-blonde childhood hair
He wants to be with people that are on his side
He wants to live life and not have to hide
But the people on the outside are mean and he cries
He cries
And they say straight to his face
Yeah they say you are so gay
Your high pitched voice and your dressing choice
Makes us think
Your sparkling smile and your dandelion style
Makes us think
You're gay
The boy sat down
With a big big frown
And said
To them
I have a high pitched voice but it's
Not my choice it is
It just is
He thinks to himself and sheds a tear
He knows he's not gay and that's his fear
Why do they think that
Why do they think that
You can't just look at someone on the outside and assume they are gay
Being gay isn't shown on the outside
Being Gay is liking the same gender
And guess what? I don't like the same gender
