AldotFig - Flu Lyrics

AldotFig - Flu Lyrics
Official

We're laying down,
No thought spent on what we'll do.
Me and you,
Together we're sicky-poo.
Spending hours tucked away (tucked away)
Congested, body aches and a fever.
It hurts even to think
Don't know if it's night or day
It's cold inside, I'm trembling
I call the boss, say I can't come in (I'm dying)
You're passed out from the medicine,
The bosses start with the questioning
(There's no days to use)
Nothing to say, hang up the phone.
They'll be ok, leave me alone.
(I'm tired)
I'm passing out, (time for a nap)
Delirious (and full if meds)
Because I'm calling in sick with the flu.
I can feel it now,
Can't you see death is on its way?
Goodbye world, I'm out.
Let me be so I'll pass away.
Lungs and eyes are really sore, (they're sore)
Coughing up gross things forever,
It hurts, can't take much more.
There is no end in sight. (Oh)
(End in sight)
(Oh)
(Gonna die)
(Oh, no)
Hit by a freight train. Glued to the bed frame
(Not moving).
Every part of me's in pain,
I look at you and see the same
Must drink some water.
Holding on for our lives.
Replenishing electrolytes (Feel like.. new)
Slowly getting out of bed
Swimming feeling in my head
Within the hour I know we will beat the flu.
Walking out to the living room
I delicately place my body
Down into the recliner.
(Just give me a moment to breathe)
Warm up on chicken noodle soup,
The fever's gone, time to recoup
(I'm no use).
Though we aren't a hundred percent
Our spirit's grown as we persist
(At least we left the room.)
We endured through all the pain
Anyone ask I did not complain
(Didn't ask you)
I'm guessing now we've had our break
It's back to work, no more sick days
Because I had to stay home and battle the flu.
Had to stay home and battle the flu.
Had to stay home and battle the flu.
Had To stay home.
