Alessandro Cabrini - Terry's Tale Lyrics

Alessandro Cabrini - Terry's Tale Lyrics

It was just another day hoping that it wasn't
School day ended and all kids left the premise
Terrence stood alone hoping someone'd ask him out
But tears welled in his eyes when he saw everyone leave without
Him
He started marching to the bus
The one he drowns his loneliness with music in
A few minutes a day where he don't feel alone and shit
Walk in the house and get asked a couple questions
How was your day, why your eyes red are you upset?
Spent too long alone he just wants to be it some more so he says it's all good
It's the allergies that set
Confrontation avoided he goes into his room
Turns his Xbox on to get distracted
Plays a couple games but that don't give him the answers
He opens Instagram sees stories of different lunches
Different groups and Terry couldn't fit in one of em
His dm's dry not a text in days
He just wants someone to hold him but given the situation he'll settle for "good morning"
Turns on the news sees a kid killed himself cuz he was bullied at school
A chart popped up showing he wasn't part of the few
At his funeral the only one who showed up was his mother
I guess to the world he's just another number

The days go on and shit only gets worse
Terrence refuses help and starts to believe that he's better alone
That brings him to think everyone's better without him
He gives it a thought then forgets about it
Bell rings same bus he puts his headphones on
For the first time he notices some classmates sat across
They took that route every day and never stopped once to say hey
But Terrence understands, why would they do something like that
Thoughts start to pop up once more
His eyes violent
Knot in his throat like a sailor lived inside him
He got off at the next stop cuz he couldn't stand
The judgment of those who consider him a wimp
He walked home this time not even Em could drown the voices
Through the window of a bar he saw a friend who he asked out
He told him he was busy but there he was now
Smoking and laughing with friends he knew
He acted like he didn't see Terrence through the crowd
Walked inside the house there was no one there to stop him
His dog looked him in the eye could feel the desperation
Threw his bag up on the table as he took out pen and paper
Wrote goodbye his hands were shaking
That class will be equally full without him and that bus he takes will be equally empty
Sixth floor was high enough for what he was planning
His legs dangled from the balcony
Looked down and saw eternity
He didn't look back didn't even sign the message for his mom or dad
Why would he?
He's just another number to the standing
If you feel like nobody
Just hold on to mee
To me
Hold on to mee
Hold on to me
To me
