Billions of eyes for thousands of years
Have watched the moon rise from way down here
Till three men, In '69
Left our little world far behind
In ancient days, we looked to the stars
We do the same now just to make them ours
Mother Earth sent two of her sons
To search the unknown to make us one
They were so far from home
They were so close to it
Till their jets shut off
And they drifted
Fate has ordained the men and the moon
Will forever explore in their metal cocoon
Every human that looks up at night
Will remember that endless lonely flight
