Were we watching the same boats sway
On the calm waters of Georgian Bay?
Did you watch while your heart ached
The Sun recede beyond the lake?
Did you worry when the winds changed
And the water turned with a violent rage?
But the Sun returned and those boats remain
Braving the waves
Now I heavily sigh
At the heavenly sight
As it all comes clear
I wish I could see
That you were right here
You know it's the funniest thing
How long a song can sit half-written
Maybe there's nothing to sing
Or all melody but no rhythm
I guess I'm kinda the same
The best I can do is wait
And weather this doubt that tries to wash me away
Now I heavily sigh
At the heavenly sight
As it all comes clear
I wish I could see
That you were right here
