These years are passing like the days once did
What will be the end of this life I live?
There are some things we need to let go of
Some things things we need to hold on to
It takes wisdom to know the difference
And courage to take the action
This is who I am on the inside and I can't let the fire die out inside me
Seasons come and seasons go, still you're walking beside me
I must look on to what lies ahead and what you're building inside me
The old man lives beneath my skin and I can't let that define me
I can't keep walking up and down these same roads
We're brought up from the earth
And we'll go right back to the dirt
This life is slipping away, beneath the hands of time
The faces I've looked upon
The passions I once held with these hands are slipping away
Beneath the hands of time
This is who I am on the inside and I can't let the fire die out inside me
Seasons come and seasons go, still you're walking beside me
I must look on to what lies ahead and what you're building inside me
The old man lives beneath my skin and I can't let that define me
These years are passing like the days once did
What will be the end of this life I live?
