Birds sing there is fewer planes in the skies
Fish swim in bliss, less pollution in our streams
The winds they breathe at last
Carrying a cell, forcing all to sit still
And finally face who we are
Mother earth screamed storms and floods
Fires scorched forests day and night
We didn't hear her cries or feel the flames
Desensitised by selfish deeds
Forever feeding our greed
Creating conflict for silver beads
Escapees drowning in all our seas
Children going hungry to sleep
The needy cast aside
The powerful win the prize
In the race to reach beyond
When planet earth is done
