A beauty queen in a shopping mall
Choosing clothes wherewithal
Cherry picking who she wants to be
She needs the power of a higher man
Who she can share as part of his plan
To study every woman he sees
The kind of man who can play with the kids
But who isn't too serious around his friends
Or with anything else in life
Unaware of the population
That roams the crust of the earth as well
Oblivious to a single other's strife
I'd like to think we're all ancient sages
But we're working with empty pages
Help me write these next few lines so we can move along
Listen to me for too long of a time
I hate it when you roll your eyes, that's fine
This is not your song
Hide behind burnt hazel eyes
With a layer of frost dormant inside
What's real and what is a lie
But where's the man who can share her fear
Taking her goodwill and leaving it there
To replace it with a long sigh
Start a conversation with somebody new
This man can't go anything for you
I'd hate to see a good body like yours go to waste
Let's get out of her girl, skip this line
The man you're looking for is right on time
Come here but make haste, oh make haste
I'd like to think we're all ancient sages
But we're working with empty pages
Help me write these next few lines so we can move along
Listen to me for too long of a time
I hate it when you roll your eyes, that's fine
This is not your song
I have something to tell you when we're through
I can see you're leaving, well what are you going to do
Are you moving on? Oh well
Thanks for nothing and shut the door
I think it's clear that you don't belong here anymore
This is not your song
Oh, it's mine
Oh, it's mine
Oh, mine
Oh, mine
Oh, it's mine
Oh, mine
Oh, it's mine
Oh, mine
Oh, mine
She's gone and left without
Her personality, I doubt
She'll ever find someone like me again
I'm the only one to tell her story
Now I get all of the glory
Maybe I'll just finish it here
