Oh it's a hot hot summer
In Monte Chingolo City
The girls and boys outside
Trying to have some fun
There's not much to do
Well, maybe catch some roaches
When they come out
The very very dirty underground
Around
Oh man, you should know better
There's no better place to be
It's your mom and dad, and your dog
And the countless hours
Playing marbles at the Alumni's yard
And it's also the roughness of the night
Loving rain despite the roof leaks
And it's the natural wit, and
The canvas pools on the pavements!
Well, I don't know
You wouldn't call 'em pavements I guess but
Well it's a sad sad summer
In this deities-forgotten city
And the flailings of the drowning men
Have arrived to my den
There isn't much for me to do to help
I wish I could stay my dear
But I must set sail
And I'm soon away
Chau!
