Black Baethoven - The Space Between Lyrics

Black Baethoven - The Space Between Lyrics
Official

Even in the deepest pit of Earth, there is a blink of light
The auras are the opposite 'cause light is darkness's kryptonite
Unexpected happenings are always gonna tip the ice
Burglary and murder guarantee to bring the script to life
I am neither villain nor a hero
My peoples call me Kelvin 'cause I'm always subzero
The things that I would do to end hatefulness in humanity
My offers don't get through to them, all they see is my insanity
Is this the thing it takes to make a man of me
Avoiding ignorance, profanity, and vanity
Can I escape the shade if I don't live under the canopy
Is living as a legend worth the forfeit of my sanity
These are questions I ask myself at the wrong times
Every repetition's a bigger crack in the fault line
The hands on the clock are barely moving, this is small time
Ask myself, "Who's to blame?"
The voices reply, "All mine"
Looking back on my life, I'm glad that I had my mom and dad
Watching half my homies live without 'em, it just made me mad
Why even have the baby if you didn't plan to stick around
Knowing that your child support was gonna be a big amount
I guess not all of us were meant for this life
Ain't too many people here that wanna do right
That's the thing that got me stuck, it keeps me up in the night
Are we supposed to win the battle with no motive to fight
I'm writing rhymes in my spare time
Walking down the block, the homeless ask if I can spare dimes
I ask em back, "If you was sipping Sprite, would you share limes
Or if you was a criminal, would you commit fair crimes?"
Sometimes I get tired of being an activist
And I get pissed off when people call Jesus a pacifist
Did you read any Old Testament passages
If you did, you know He treated some people like savages
Yet and still, that ain't a good reason to doubt Him
'Cause I don't know what I would do without Him
And if you don't love Him you must not know enough about Him
And if you mad 'cause others do, you need to quit the pouting
I never understood the logic of an atheist
Of every "religion" type, y'all be the craziest
Just take a look through history, and audible your gaze a bit
I'm calling out the way of thinking y'all niggas be playing with
You can find your sunshine
It's been a long time, long time
You can find your sunshine, woah
Long time
You can find your sunshine, ohhh
Long time, long time, long time, long time
Ohh ohh, ohh ohh
Ohh ohh, ohh ohh
Ohh ohh, ohh ohh
Ohh ohh, ohh
Ohh ohh, ohh ohh
