Sometimes love is just hardship and pain
And words flying through the air coming down like rain
Then only hard silence echoes through the air
And then comes the feeling that it's really not fair
I love the flame but I hate the fight
I hate the feeling that something's not right
It's hard to put the past outta sight
Like a candle at war that's burning too bright
We're addicts searching for material things
Despite the sadness that it always brings
If dreams and fairy tales always came true
There would be nothing to fight for and nothing to lose
We'd be doing the things that all robots do
Whatever master says that we must do
Instead we're given free choice to live
To live out our choices and freely commit
To the choice to visit our burning desires
At risk of burning in a self made pyre
Hard lessons learned that were hard to see
But I'm stronger all because it happened to me
