Jesus, on a journey, headed up to Galilee,
Stopped into Samaria, and found himself in need,
Weary from his travels, and dusty from the road,
Met a woman at a well-house, and with parched lips he spoke,
"Can you give me a drink?"
"O Samaritan," Jesus said to her, "Can you give me a drink?"
"O Samaritan," Jesus said to her.
She said in amazement, "Sir, who are you"
"Why is it that you speak to me, why should I answer you?"
He said, "I only ask for water, if you knew who I am,"
"You'd ask me for the answer, to turn your life around."
"Can you give me a drink?"
"O Samaritan," Jesus said to her, "Can you give me a drink?"
"O Samaritan," Jesus said to her.
She heard of the Messiah, come to show the way,
She wondered if he was the one, who talked to her that day.
When he spoke the truth and spirit, she knew he had to be,
She asked him and he answered he spake to you and me,
"Can you give me a drink?"
"O Messiah," Jesus said to her, "Can you give me a drink?"
"O Samaritan," Jesus said to her.
Can you give me a drink?
Of that holy water.
Of that holy living water.
Forever quench your thirst.
O give me a drink.
A drink of that holy water.
Forever quench your thirst.
"Can you give me a drink?"
"O Messiah," Jesus said to her, "Can you give me a drink?"
"O Samaritan," Jesus said to her.
"Can you give me a drink?"
"O Messiah," Jesus said to her, "Can you give me a drink?"
"O Samaritan," Jesus said to her.
"Can you give me a drink?"
"O Messiah," Jesus said to her, "Can you give me a drink?"
"O Samaritan," Jesus said to her.
