Bobby Real - War Lyrics
Official

If you still think that war
Is the only way, then I'm about to spaz
I can't take it anymore
Why can't we put all the hate in the past
Everybody get along
I shouldn't have to say it
I'm not your mom
Give me that sword
Give me that gun
Give me that bomb
I really don't want to have to say it again
Why can't we be friends
Feel so happy on the outside
But, deep down
I feel like it's all pretend
'Cause when you know what the world goes through
It's kinda hard to feel zen
All I know is I won't sit back
And let the world go back to how it was back then
Slavery
If you're still thinking that slavery should be a thing then you gon' find a little bit of hate in me
And you better go find a new planet 'cause we got no vacancy
You're the ones who give a bad rap to all the peaceful white people in the world
Who don't deserve the backlash of your actions in the past
It's you who should pay the fee
Discrimination
Oh, so you think that your little nation is better than mine
Better than theirs
Did you forget that we breathe the same air
You deserve this and you deserve that 'cause of where you're from tell me how's that fair
If you want to win this game of life then you got to learn how to be a team player
If you still think that war only happens overseas
I don't know where you've been
I could take a trip uptown
And see war it's us vs us
Not us vs them
Even world war
We're all one Earth
Still us vs us not us vs them
'Cause we're all we got
So, when I turn the tv on
And see somebody got shot
I'm like man, why does this keep happening
Now I got to start to watch my back again
Now I got to write another serious rap when all that I want is to be happy, but the anger is back again
I don't want to distrust you, but if just one dude catches me off guard
That's enough to make me want to take precaution
And I'm supposed to rap like life is awesome
I mean it is, but not all the time
I still want to make happy rhymes, but I can't be oblivious to the fact that bad happens
So, I keep that in the back of my mind
But, I'm still an optimist through all of this
I'll bring that positivity
That's the gift God's given me
Negativity is never getting rid of me
So, don't let it bring you down
We got to rise up (rise up, rise up)
If there's one thing that's going to put an end to all this
It's what's inside us
So, if you promise to work with me
I'll give you all of my trust
If we can't get along
How are we going to deal with finding out there's another planet like us
