They say you'd never notice
If the rain came through your roof
I guess you're bound to notice if it floods
On the streets the lights shine down
And show my body bare
With the prick of a needle the watchers take my blood
What's the price for happiness
A heart or perhaps a soul
I gave you that and everything more
You took a lot from me
Yeah you stole my dignity
And left my life with nothing to explore
And so the water falls
From the ceiling and down the walls
In the hallways
And in the classrooms
A needle drove through my spine
Lead by your hand
And unkempt anger
A cold harsh crying whine
The raindrops roll on
Along the walls
They trickle down and water my lawn
The flowers bloom
Black petals of the dahlia
But only when the sun is gone
And so the water falls
From the ceiling and down the walls
