How much winter is left?
I go outside looking for my shadow
I align it with the cracks in the sidewalk
With my feet on a tile line and my head shade under another
I fit in the boxes
But I'll learn to run,
So when I go outside its fast
And I won't see my shadow anymore
I won't see pavement, just grass
And I'm learning to run
And I'm getting real fast
And I've got nothing to hide
Here's your free pass
And I've learned to run
And I am real fast
Though I worry about the people behind me
Who with water, drink glass
Bring me the pamphlet
For a trip I can go on
Take me where the sun shines
And I'll put my sun glasses on
Just the sun and the sand
And the heat when I land
No more ground hogs at my feet
Just the sun and the sand
And the heat when I land
No more ground hogs at my feet
It doesn't have to be
Too far away
