Nine To Five
I work the nine to five just to stay alive
We were cruising around, just like a bunch of clowns
They tried to stop us, they had nothing on us Cause we knew, we knew it was on again
We should have known when to stop
And then someone called the cops
We ran through the night, tried to hide from the lights
We had such, we had such a good time that night
I kind of wonder if I saw their face again
Would it really make me want to go back again? Or is it sometimes too late for that?
Doo doo doo doo doo doo Should have known that nothing could be the same
What on earth got into my brain?
Sort of hoped we could start again
Doo doo doo doo doo doo Ain't it funny how things just go and change
And now we work the nine to five, we'll always have that night my friend
I work the nine to five just to stay alive
We were just sitting around, we were the talk of the town
All the kids at Chevron, had their favorite clothes on
Should have known, should have known it was on again
We weren't thinking too straight I guess it must have been late
We asked for a smoke, I made some kind of joke And then we, we were off through the night again
Didn't seem like nothing would go our way
Till we heard that song one night and it all seemed to go away
Didn't seem like nothing would go our way
Till we heard that song one night
Doo doo doo doo doo doo Should have known that nothing could be the same
What on earth got into my brain?
Sort of hoped we could start again
Doo doo doo doo doo doo Ain't it funny how things just go and change
And now we work the nine to five, we'll always have that night my friend
