Quotes:
Talking about being labeled Christian rock:
"It's something that's probably going to follow us around forever and that's fine. It's pretty simple. We originally signed with a record company that was backed by Word (a Christian label housing John Tesh and Amy Grant), so the record [Point #1] was in Christian bookstores. It was really an accidental thing."
-Sam Loeffler

We had to get out of our first record contract and that took time. We toured for fifteen months on the first record and then it took a year to get out of the contract.
Pete Loeffler

Oh yeah, absolutely. The first record was really indie sounding. We weren't actually going for that sound. We didn't really know Albini's [Steve Albini - Nirvana, Bush] deal.
Pete Loeffler

Better and better. Partially because your time slot rotates. As the day goes on the crowd is more warmed up, people react more, get more comfortable.
Pete Loeffler
