Sleepless nights, needless fights
In my head, all the time
Silence causes violence
In loudness theres nowhere to hide
Surrounded, yet lonely
Nobody, believes me
I keep to myself and shut my mouth till' you finally see
That I am nowhere near the man, they all expected me to be
This here is nowhere near the plan to crash and burn, fail and bleed
Never been this free, yet bound by so many chains
Guess I live my life, in a freedom cage
Can I even live my life normal?
Battling my demons but, Im only mortal
Running from myself, I don't feel in control
Burning all my bridges cause they taking a toll
Feeling like this my fate, feeling like Im over it
The lord saying wait, getting crushed under it
Tryna take a breath, gathering all my thoughts
Who knew silence could lead to battles being fought
What do I do, when you disappear
And Im freaking out, giving in to fears
Trusting a ruse, dealing with abuse
From the inside out, Im tryna find a route
Cause I seem to miss my exits, ya
Anxiety is leaving me breathless, ya
Wish I had the reasons to express how Im feeling but
I just feel alone and feel helpless, ya
Sleepless nights, needless fights
In my head, all the time
Silence causes violence
In loudness theres nowhere to hide
Surrounded, yet lonely
Nobody, believes me
I keep to myself and shut my mouth till' you finally see
That I am nowhere near the man, they all expected me to be
This here is nowhere near the plan to crash and burn, fail and bleed
Never been this free, yet bound by so many chains
Guess I live my life, in a freedom cage
The thoughts that I localize
Turns into the problems that I vocalize
In my eyes, everything is do or die
I apologize, for
Running out the door when you call me to be more
Hold up, wait a, minute, Ive been, distant
From your wisdom and your name
Lately hasn't been the same
I got everything to gain
But I see myself as less
Im the only one that I can blame, aye
Feeling great and have it fade within the same day
I don't understand, God show me your plan, aye
I stay reaching out, I just need a hand, aye
I rely on me more than I should
Shoulda relied on the lord when I could
If I can go back I would
To more simple times at the park
When we'd longboard after class, and we'd longboard after dark
With genuine laughter
Before fear was king, and anxiety master, uh
Before fear was king, and anxiety master, uh
Before fear was king, and anxiety master, uh
Uh ya, breaking this cage Im in
My real self, Ive been freeing him
My old self, Ive been killing it
So I could see that there's life and light
When I feel like death and can't take a breath
And I make a mess
But it ain't surprising when the tides are rising
Cause you know the lesson, and it ain't a test, uh
