Amen, Amen, Amen
Now the word of God says
In, Proverbs 24:10
If thou faint in the day of adversity
Thy strength is small amen
I wrecked my car this afternoon
On top of that, I lost my job
My bills are piling up
But most of them I disregard
My rent is due and my lease is up
So I better start to move on out
I could ask my landlord for an extension
But the last time I mentioned it
He turned and cussed me out
I can't fake it no more, no, no, no
And I can't take it no more, no, no, no
I must admit, no, no, no
I'm living in my strength, no, no, no
I asked my kid's father for some help
He told me, he didn't care
And I should never come back there
The cupboard is bare
And I'm losing my hair
But he'll regret what he said
This I sware
I can't fake it no more, no, no, no
And I can't take it no more, no, no, no
I must admit, no, no, no
I'm living in my strength, no, no, no
I woke up to the shout, of, get out
That was my landlord, kicking me out
So I found myself living in a Walmart parking lot
And every time I think about it, I just want to shout
Now my kids are looking at me like I'm trying to punish them
And I wonder where in the world do I get the strength
I can't fake it no more, no, no, no
And I can't take it no more, no, no, no
I must admit, no, no, no
I'm living in my strength, no, no, no
