When I look back across my life at the things that I've been through
There are those that stand above the rest, Some joy, some blue
But along the way Your presence was so patient and so true
Many times without a word of thanks for everything You do

You were there when I made my vows to the one that caught my eye
You were there when I welcomed life, and when I said my last goodbyes
You were there every time I needed help along the way
I can see Your hand so clearly, looking back across my days

You were there right beside me every moment of my life
Sometimes I gave You credit, but often hardly recognized
And even though I looked right past You, You never left my side
So, I just want to thank You Lord for being in every moment of my life

You are here in this moment as You are every day
And I pray that You will guide me along the narrow way
You'll still reign when all my years have finally closed my eyes
And in that moment, welcome me to Your eternal life
