Back to this life of mine
Finding all that matters
All that drags me down
In patterns and scattered lines.
Returning to live again
Or just to survive the spin
In this relentless race
Heading toward the end's embrace.
And it feels like time's a thief
Passing swift beyond belief
And I'm back within the snare
Of that same unyielding stare.
I shouldn't wish to change it all
One swift move to break the wall
But I can't bear to stay the same
In this cycle tied by shame.
I shouldn't want to run away
As I always seem to stray
Yet here I am bound tight
Locked within this endless fight.
Facing the shadows once more
Chasing dreams washed ashore
Caught between hope and despair
In this dance of worn-out air.
Struggling to find the light
In a world painted gray and white
With echoes of lost belief
And visions of brief relief.
It's a story written in scars
Bound by time and fading stars
And though the road feels the same
I still walk whispering your name.
I shouldn't wish to break the chain
Or shake the dust of old refrain
But I can't live just standing still
In a place that bends my will.
I shouldn't want to flee so far
But here I am an untamed scar
Locked within this endless night
Clinging to the faintest light.
It's a story written in scars
Bound by time and fading stars
And though the road feels the same
I still walk whispering your name.
I shouldn't wish to break the chain
Or shake the dust of old refrain
But I can't live just standing still
In a place that bends my will.
I shouldn't want to flee so far
But here I am an untamed scar
Locked within this endless night
Clinging to the faintest light.
So here I stand on the edge of fate
Waiting for the world to hesitate
One breath away from the unknown
Longing for a life I've never known.
