Darren Hanlon - All Creatures Know Lyrics

We've walked and we've talked and we've roamed the world over Something got me thinking if we came to settling
What country, what country might you want to live in
What country would please you if you had to choose one?

Right now I've no patience for the choosing of nations
With their strict regulations imposed on their citizens
But if the government's fair and the people aware
I guess I could live there if you twisted my arm some

And we'll roam, and we'll go
And we'll see how all creatures know When they raise the stars up
They all return to their homes

From the day that we met we caught ramblin fever
So this question I ask is simply hypothetical
What city, what city might you want to live in
There must be a city, we can't move round forever?

If somebody forced me I'd say I like cities
Where you can see past the buildings, straight out to the mountains
Where the streets smell like toffee, the air like roast coffee
You might find me fussy but I'd like a good library

Now we don't like commitments, nor being consistent
And avoid all payment for bills of utility
But if there was a house to suit you, new or old one
What kind of a house would feel good wrapped around you?

To stay still I couldn't, I'm not saying I shouldn't
But it'd have to be wooden with high vaulted ceilings
A room for my writing, where the sun lets the light in
And when we are fighting I need another room dear
