Sitting outside
The local CVS pharmacy
Just to pass the time
Because I got nothing else to do
When kids walk by I chat with them
And ask them silly questions
They pretend to enjoy my company
But inside they laugh and tease
They tell their friends and the crowd gets bigger
Little children terrorizing
My whole life doesn't have a meaning
They took away my dignity
Drugstore Cowboy
They call me a Drugstore Cowboy
Drugstore Cowboy
That's the name they gave me
I'm a Drugstore Cowboy
I hang outside the drugstore
Passing time on the sidewalk out front
Why can't I just get a life?
Drugstore Cowboy
They call me a Drugstore Cowboy
Drugstore Cowboy
That's the name they gave me
I guess it's time to move on
No one likes me any more
I need a new group of friends
These kids really hate me
Where did my old life go,
When I had friends my own age?
Instead they all make fun of me
I wish that this life just would end
