Dylan Goren - The Story Lyrics

Rhyming headfirst, don't really care for
Any other style, well, I should begin
From the start...
And the story goes, yea the story goes

Once upon a time a boy fell from the stars
Dribbled and bounced off the moon and then hit mars
Tumblin' to the ground without a clue what to do
Why he was there or who he was

Dustin' off his sneaks he hopped to his feet
Beat Maschine in his bag and a pen full of ink
In his hand, soon he began writing everything
That he saw from the dirt to the stars

Trying to solve the question of all questions
What's it all for?
Standing at the foot of Olympus Mons
He climbed to the top and then jumped for the Gods.

Shaking his head, eyes opening up
He felt like he was home but didn't know where he was
Suddenly, a flash of light bolts past his eyes
The silver scales of a fish reflecting the sunlight

He takes a deep breath and looks around
Everything is still yet somehow moving. He moves
His hand to his neck and feels 3 ridges inflecting water through him
Man what is he doing

Here? He feels like he belongs
Still, something seems like it's missing or gone...
What could it be?
Wait... who took my beat maschine

And my pen? I had them right here
In my bag when I hurtled through the stratosphere
Catapulted off a tree then landed in the sea
I guess it's time to start looking

This is the tale that I'm trying to tell of the
Boy who scours the Earth looking for what fell from his possession
Heaven above and hell below, he walks the line between
In hopes of the day that he

Goes home again and returns to the sea
Where he'll swim with the fish and breathe in the water like its air
Fair to say he's got a ways to go
The Planet's a big place and nobody knows where his

Music has gone. But his mood is warming up
And the sun's starting to rise as the
Miles pile up his smile only grows wider
He feels that he's close

Closer with each step he takes. He knows the direction
Just a matter of guessing and honing his craft
Keep an eye on the prize and bread in the basket
From cradle to casket this wavy-headed apprentice
Will one day be a master
