The Rocky valley, that I live in
The red brick mountains, pieces missing
A fire took the children's Haven
Left them alone to wander aimless
The orange sky is bright and shimmering
And pressing on, I pass the pyramid
It lays there on the river to represent
Every little tribe that came our way and went
Well I'm headin' back east where the fire will rise
There's a burn in my chest like the sun in the sky
With my back to the west and a limp in my stride
Forced to part ways with all I desire
The road is broken and deserted
No sight or sound of love, or bloodshed
Sinuses taunted by her eesence
Chemical cutthroat, keeps me guessing
I see the tower in the distance
And hear the sirens of the pack
Up on the hill I'm close to home
But I feel I left it ten miles back
Well I'm headin' back east where the fire will rise
There's a burn in my chest like the sun in the sky
With my back to the west and a limp in my stride
Forced to part ways with all I desire
Well I'm headin' back east where the fire will rise
There's a burn in my chest like the sun in the sky
With my back to the west and a limp in my stride
Forced to part ways with all I desire
Well I'm headin' back east where the fire will rise
There's a burn in my chest like the sun in the sky
Rollin home, to shed my excess
Wake up round noon to chase the sun again
