We were all once wee little and solidly unaware
And when one becomes more and more aware
That is when the learning begins
We steal pencils and draw on walls
We break glasses and burst balloons
We commit peach sins of youth
And eat almond diamonds of unawareness
And by doing so we commit another peach crime
Though not endangering, also not endearing
Enchanting only by its forbidden nature
But our peaches can turn to rotten redgraves
And our almond diamonds can disappear
Like the November sun or the second sock
Be weary of both, be aware.
