Well, I was working in my lab late one night
When my eyes be held such an eerie sight
The monster on my slab, he began to rise,
And suddenly to my surprise
He did the mash
He did the monster mash
It was a graveyard smash,
It caught on in a flash,
The heavy, heavy monster mash
From my laboratory in the castle east
To the master bedroom, where the vampires feast
The gouls all came from their humble abodes
To get a jolt from my electrode.
Well, all the skins wore their boots and braces,
And everybody had a real good time.
The Trojan headless horseman brought an Ouija board
And so we conjured up the spirit of 69.
Well, the scene was rocking all were digging the sounds,
And Igor on the chain back by his baying hounds,
The coffin bangers were about to arrive
With their rocksteady group, The crypt kicker five.
Now out from his coffin we heard Dracula ring
It seems he was troubled by just one thing
He open the lid and said people get ready
I came here to do the Transylvania rocksteady
But everything's cool now Drac's a part of the band,
And my monster mash is now the hit of the land
And for all my rudies and the skins and the punk rockers too
When you get to my door tell them electric bill sent you!
