Hey... What A War
A warrior rising in the battle's fiery blaze
Spear raised high to end the night's haze
Hand to pole eyes to anoint
Wondering deep what's the point?
Innocent lives march step by step
Reaching out to loves they've yet to have met
Knowing they'd set the enemy back
But still they ask still they lack
What's the point of war? What are we even fighting for
If you sent the leaders to the front lines there'd be no more wars
If you sent the leaders to the front lines there'd be no more wars
The Iron Dome shields the city's skies
But the Lord's shield guards every heart that cries
Missiles rain down targeting the innocent with no cause
Yet God is our refuge He holds His holy laws
From Russia to Ukraine the world's in pain
Bullets fly bones remain
Drones seek cracks hidden doors
Destroying lives in unseen wars
What's the point of war? What are we even fighting for
If you sent the leaders to the front lines there'd be no more wars
If you sent the leaders to the front lines there'd be no more wars
On every front the innocent weep
While promises of peace are buried deep
Soldiers sent out to fight for a cause
But God alone is the righteous judge of all
In lands divided by blood and by hate
Is this the future or can we change fate
For every battle fought with sword in hand
There's a greater war in the heart of man
Protect the Word Lord keep it true
For with Your love You'll carry us through
In the chaos and in the fight
You are our shield our guiding light
Missiles and bullets can tear the earth apart
But nothing can touch the faithful heart
The world is trembling hearts are cold
But Jesus' love is the greatest story ever told
From every war and every grave
He has risen He has saved
No weapon formed can stand against
The love of Christ our defense
Where is peace? It's found in Him
Not in guns or wars or nations' sin
What's the point of war? What are we even fighting for
If you sent the leaders to the front lines there'd be no more wars
If you sent the leaders to the front lines there'd be no more wars
Blessed are the peacemakers that's what You said
For they'll be called the children of God instead
While kingdoms crumble empires fall
Your kingdom reigns above it all
Not by might not by power
But by Your Spirit in this hour
Our true battle isn't flesh and bone
It's for hearts that seek Your throne
So what's the point of war? What are we really fighting for
When You sent Your Son to lead us to peace to fight no more
When You sent Your Son to lead us to peace to fight no more
In the end love will conquer hate
God's kingdom will set things straight
If you sent the leaders to the front lines there'd be no more wars
But in Christ there's a hope that endures forevermore
