The fall rings through my ears
It brings out the best and worst of me
It chimes and whistles through years
Smell the colors that cover me
Will you lay with me beside
Stare at shapes we're imagining
And though I can't see your eyes
I can feel your gaze meeting me
I'll be here, I won't make a sound
This feels like an eternity
Wait til my head hits the ground
Sky burns out and ignites for me
Hope my friends want me around
Things aren't like how they used to be
Fill me in, include me somehow
Kill the burden that swallows me
Where did I go wrong with you
I'm just like how I was before
All these years they assembled me
I was there when you shut the door
Waiting for you to call out for me
And I've seen better days
But that's alright, I won't complain
Keep my chin up high and straight
One day I'll know what's inside of me
