Gedalya - Isaiah's Grave Lyrics

On the top of a Mountain in the shade of a stone sat a man named Isaiah he would ponder all alone
He saw the corruption that was on the ground the people had all strayed from a path that was sound

The world was going one way and he went the other going against the flow to take a stand
Turned his eyes to heaven and prayed with all his might
For the courage and the wisdom to put things in the right

Didn't reach the masses but he made a change you can see a flame on Isaiah's grave
A message for the world to take to heart a fire from heaven setting him apart

He took a piece of wood and winds that he found in the marsh and made the first guitar
Started writing words of hope and put them to a tune then he began to croon

Singing to the young and old travelling day and night using all the passion he could drive
When he played his music he was taken higher and when the people heard him they would be inspired

Didn't reach the masses but he made a change you can see a flame on Isaiah's grave
A message for the world to take to heart a fire from heaven setting him apart
