Grey skies, blackened shadows of night impressed upon my mind
Silver shadows surrounding me
Rain-drenched, beaded droplets crown upon my face and hair
In the darkness it's all so clear
Inside the falling waters I am kept
Soft murmur of the whispering wind
Like a friend from so long ago
You're calling me back again
Low rumble rolling over to mollify the static air
Mitigate all the feelings here
And so I'm running over to press my face against the glass
I look out and I want to be there
Sudden sinking when the sky has disappeared
No longer guarding the rigid edges of the world
I'm disillusioned as the sharpened senses cut my throat
And I'm bleeding inside myself
Until the slinking shadows come again to cover me
To the stillness I will return
