The other night I sat down to take a good look at the old heart of mine
That old cedarwood - swing on my backpoarch gave me comfort.-
and so did the warm red wine
I was trying to heal some of the scratches and wounds deep my soul
when I found me talking to the good Lord above,
I was fighting feelings that I `ve seldom known, crying tears for the dear ones ,
that I lost along the road
Well, I decided to switch on that big screen , to watch the evening news trying to wipe
all those weary thoughts off my mind
But somehow it seemed, I was only able to receive one channel.
They were showing a re-run of a classic Disney movie about a lonely ol` bear roaming the Mountains.
Well, I opened up another bottle of that fine red wine and kept on watching the picture
There was a huge old grizzly bear fighting a snow storm, and the camera`s focus was on the bear`s mighty head ,
I looked into desperate and lonely eyes and I wondered , was I turning in such a beast ?
Then another close up, and suddenly I felt the bear was talking to me,
To me the beast looked human for a while, was I lookin` into a mirror ?
For a moment , I could have sworn, I heard him say: "Come with me, follow my tracks into the mountains,
You lived it all ! Are you happy, are you satisfied ?
The Years passed by and you became a loner, just another stranger in a lonely world,
Its about to end it now, come on , let s go and find us a place to die in some snow covered cavern"
That`s when I heard another voice talking to me, seemed it came from a corner
of a hospital room, soft and clear : Welcome back John, you`ve been gone for almost a week now, John ,
here `a young lady to see you , I did `nt know you had a grandson, John
Well, I guess the Lord had mercy on this old bear
.
snowstorm landscape desperate and mean will he leave any
will I leave any good
Do I want to be that old bear / whatchd theface of the mighty grizzlys head and I saw my own faces lines
