That time again, that time of night that is my afternoon
It's just me, maybe a cat, maybe the moon, at least for an hour before the clouds return
Kept by four walls, I can do nothing but draw by the light of the night
Do I feel at ease? Do I feel uneasy?
I couldn't say, I feel alone, I'm just my own
And that's not quite enough
So, I swallow my loneliness with a swig of soymilk and syrup
That's so me: soymilk and syrup
And I would chuckle to myself in the darkness of the kitchen
Smile to myself at my unchanging disposition
But tasting sweetness provides me patience
Eventually I'd put down the cup, un-bud my ears, and go to sleep
Only in my dreams can I expect for them to be seen to, my desires of who?
I'm waiting on many things
Need them soon
As I'm waiting on everything
I look at the moon
And, I swallow my loneliness with a swig of soymilk and syrup
That was me: soymilk and syrup
And I would chuckle to myself in the darkness of the kitchen
Smile to myself at my unchanging disposition
But tasting sweetness provides me patience
Yeah tasting sweetness provides me patience
