Another day, another sunrise
And my reflection reveals the Frustration
Of the pain that's hidden in my eyes
Just another common reaction
Another common reaction to another earful
Of Satan's lies
But I've chosen this lifestyle on my own
A wayward child out in the wilderness
Feelings of emptiness, moments of craziness
And even when others are around, Sometimes
I still feel alone
And these chains, these chains
Ump! Well
I've gotten used to these chains
I've been shackled so long
But I'm just Doin' me
And I'm so caught up in myself
Tangled, twisted, and tied in pride
And My pride
My pride won't let me ask for any help
Yeah
I hear your comments of concern
But please, Please
You can keep your comments to yourself
The temptation on sin
Lies on the battlefield within
And Satan's a raging bully
But if you never fight him, he'll always win
But there's a Hero
There's a Hero who will come to your rescue
IF, You'd only call Him
His name's Jesus
And He's called the Savior by definition
Forgiveness
See, forgiveness is something we could never earn
Yet, the Father yearns for us to ask for it
That's His greatest desire He longs to take us higher
And although it gets so hot sometimes we can feel the
Fire BURNING
He promised us
And His promise is, His promise is
He will be the fourth man in the furnace
My vision's been corrected
I finally got my eyes examined
And although my soul looks back
It doesn't wonder, because IT KNOWS
It knows how I got to where I am
See I spent most of my life sleeping
Now with open eyes, I'm dreaming
And all thanks and GLORY
To the Great I Am
This change this, change is incredibly wonderful
And for the rest of my days, there's simply no way
Anything sweeter, I would have ever known
Because I was an orphan, and in the darkness, I did roam
But Then, Jesus came and embraced
And adopted me
Now imagine
Someone like me
Someone like me The Savior
Now calls His very own
