Rain rain man I hope it goes away
Just another person tired of being betrayed
And there's no chance for hope to come this way
Cause every time I step outside my doorway
And whether it be a Monday, Wednesday, or a Friday
All I see is kids scared for their next school day
And truth be told they ain't the ones to blame
Cause they don't even know when it'll be there last day
Living with fear in the home of the brave the USA
I sit down and write this message
And just know this isn't no psychological lesson
Rather these are just rhymes that are expressive
In a distinguished form of a blessin
Hopin to help our young adolescents
And I ain't got much else to say except this message that I have to convey
As far as this country's state goes
This shit is sad but I guess that's just how life goes
Cause politicians put these events past them like it's another day
And just throw that shit in the past like John Elway
And just act like ain't nothin happened
But believe me man something definitely happened
Cause now that kid is full of doubts and fear
Cause he sees what's been happenin for years
And to him it's very clear that this country's ship is being steered
By some people that don't give a f*ck about guns
So that must explain why the ship is sinking in the tears
Of people who've lost their loved ones
And not to sound selfish
But I just hope that one day
That ship holds a safe spot for my kids to relish
Their days and play
And not have to worry about a Monday, Wednesday, or a Friday full of violence
