Jay's Expedition - Some Will Survive Lyrics
Official

The Earth is 4.5 billion years old
The Milky Way Galaxy is twice this old, and the Universe is three times older
On Earth, early forms of life have existed for almost 4 billion years
Maybe longer
From the early microorganisms, many variations of life have evolved
The early humanoids were upright walking primates who appeared around 6 million years ago
And the modern form of humans entered the history about 200 thousand years ago
Civilization as we know it is only a few thousand years old
The speed of change is increasing exponentially
Today, technology and trends develop in a tempo, making 10 years seem like a very long period of time
The individual is born into one reality and after living a full life ends in a social and practical context that is something completely different
During our short history on Earth humans have been successful in making life comfortable and enjoyable
Population has exploded
We have exploited resources and destroyed the conditions for others living here
This may now lead to catastrophic long-term changes for life on Earth
Are we collectively able to alter our destiny before it is too late?
The window is closing in 5 or 10 or maybe 20 years time
Think about the prospect of your fossil being found by a future creature, thousands or millions of years from now
They will wonder what made this species disappear
You may ask yourself: Are we dinosaurs?
Good forces must take speed
Strive to contribute
You should take lead
Make change use brains use hands
Do your part who cannot understand
Good forces must take speed
Strive to contribute
You should take lead
Make change use brains use hands
Do your part who cannot understand
Good forces must take speed
Strive to contribute
You should take lead
Make change use brains use hands
Do your part who cannot understand
