The cloth they wear, may shine like the sun
But they lead the many, and they helpin' none
It's a call for the conscious, time to rethink
Before the ship of truth finally sinks
Got to shatter illusions, find the light
Elevate minds to a greater height
Think deep, don't let the costume sway
True wisdom's from within, it's the only way
Spread love, shed the skin of hate
Time to rise above, let's elevate
On the pulpit, high with splendor, draped fine
Twistin' sacred text, breeding hate in minds
Dazzlin' robes, got the masses hypnotized
Blind to the truth, to the love they should find
Preachers preachin' with a tongue of disdain
Words of division, in the chapel they reign
Leaders lead with contempt so ingrained
Misused verses, cause the spirit such pain
Ain't about the wisdom, it's the show they adore
Fabric so lavish, but the heart is so poor
In the pews they sit, eyes wide, in a daze
Swallowed up by the grandeur, lost in the maze
Jewels flashin', gold crosses catch the light
But when it's time for truth, they just take flight
Empty sermons fall like rain on tin roofs
Crowds be noddin' heads, but the message's aloof
Exaltin' the cloth, missin' the essence within
Like hollow echoes in a canyon, worn thin
We lookin' up to the guise, but findin' no peace
