What is this world becoming?
Seems like we're becoming numbing
To what's suppose to cause us to be move and be enthused
But instead we pick up what was used to soothed to be abuse
How we wanna win, but now it's okay if we lose
We pick and choose if we want lies or truths
Not knowing our decision soul tied to more issues
That you can overcome or they'll overtake you
I feel like we been getting squeezed
And the last thing we wanna do is get on our knees
Because we tired of pleading, but you ain't tired of eating
Like are you even seeking? Can we even break even?
I mean we barely surviving, and y'all swear it's good times
And how long will we believe these lies and open our eyes
And finally realize that we been stuck in rerun after rerun
And your time now has come, we need some help
And it begins with self, but knowing we can't do it our self
That's why I'm asking...
Who do you call on? Who do you call on?
Who do you call on? Say?
Who do you call on? Who do you call on?
Who do you call on? Say?
Who do you call on? Who do you call on?
Who do you call on? Say?
Who do you call on? Who do you call on?
Who do you call on? Say?
Are we reaching for ears?
Or are we reaching for cheers?
Do we think about the next couple of years?
When ours kids are our peers
Have we overcome our fears?
Or will we just pass it down
But we have brats tryna wear crowns
And no one told them that children only make sounds
You have to develop a voice, and even then doesn't mean it'll be heard
But we caught in the herd
Never learning how to avoid the traffic is tragic
Cause it's effecting our future, let's be honest where's the mentors?
And who's the teachers, cause now it's hard to look at even our preachers
Lord we need leaders. Not entertainers
That are paid to swayed and deter us away
From what's eternal and what never loses its value
Like people with value, integrity, & character
Not doing whatever it takes if it means crossing certain areas
Like where's the principles, & where's the standards
Where's the prayer circles that we've abandoned?
That's why we feel abandoned, let out here & stranded
Stuck in a misconception that we will all receive grace and mercy
Or that God is blind or He can't see
Or could it be that He turned His back on thee?
I thank God that He'll never forsake me
Like blessed assurance is the best Home Insurance
Who do you call on? Who do you call on?
Who do you call on? Say?
Who do you call on? Who do you call on?
Who do you call on? Say?
Who do you call on? Who do you call on?
Who do you call on? Say?
Who do you call on? Who do you call on?
Who do you call on? Say?
It's killing me how no one else is feeling me
I mean mentally or spiritually, It seems like we've all gone wild
And no seems to care how. To mend or how to stitch it up, or
Fix it up they rather just watch us bleed out
Too many by-standers, to many saying bye to their standards
We exist to help only ourselves
Don't care about our fam, cuz I never liked mine
Be careful who you help cuz they can be a pain at times
As if your the apple of everyone's eye
Or worst they could take your life, well it wasn't mine to begin with right?
Besides who's mad when your promoted to heaven?
Except the ones thats down here still stressing, and asking
When will I get my call home? Cause I don't wanna feel this pain no mo
To be honest it take more strength to live than it does to die
That's why I gotta know who to call, when I'm not living up to what I'm called to & why
Who do you call on? Who do you call on?
Who do you call on? Say?
Who do you call on? Who do you call on?
Who do you call?
Who do you call? Who do you call?
Who do you call on? Who, who do you call?
(Oohs, Oohs, Oohs, Oohs)
