KX Inspires - That's My Team Lyrics

I'm sure you heard the saying your network determines your net-worth
Moral here is to get around people doing better in life than you
Right
That's not this lesson, really
Today's talk is about how you see yourself
Most people want to identify with the ones doing the winning
Bandwagon jumpers or fair weather fans is what come to my mind
People want to associate with the winners
That's why sports is such big business around the world
People would rather spend money to experience a distant feeling
Than work toward their own success
You may feel I can't do that
You may feel I'm not good enough
But you are
The only difference between you and the people you cheer
Is they chose to make a move
You chose to stay put
The key is taking the first step
That first step will then determine the next step, then the next step
Most of the world, do not really see themselves as winners
Many people are losing and living unfulfilled lives
The only way they see themselves winning is by saying
"That's My Team" or that's my favorite player
As they sit on the sidelines, cheering
You must realize that your team your favorite player
Is not some far fetched stretch of reality
Lebron James is real
Kobe Bryant is real
Steph Kerry, Kevin Durant are real
The Eagles winning the superbowl was real
They did not jump on anybody else's bandwagon
They bet on themselves
They recognized as they looked in awe at posters on the wall
As children that they were suppose to be on those posters
They watched the game and decided there were suppose to be on that field
On that court
There is no mystical magical ferry dust getting sprinkled on the affluent of society
God ain't picking the winners and losers
You just choosing to be the loser and stand on the sidelines
Never getting in the game
Your favorites,They saw IT, they Said I want IT
Did what IT took to get IT
That's IT, family
The only ailment you suffer from is excuse-itis
You should be your favorite player
No matter what your skill level
Take pride what you do
Take it seriously
Why would you want to be cheering the millionaires
When you can be the one standing out there with your hand raised
You could be tasting the success too
So, the Warriors, that's not your team
Be the captain of Team You
By all means get inspired by the greats
Let that inspiration propel you into your own greatness
