Its only two o'clock
The afternoon's just beginning, it
Stretches before her
Never ending
She looks around
It's the same old scene
Mother alone with unspoken dreams
It's only been one hour
An hour made of moments
She wants to believe
It could go either way
She closes the door
Opens the bottle
Drinks and starts to pray
She says, what am I doing here?
This is not me
There's someone else in here
What am I doing now?
I watch myself
I am flying
Now I am falling down
Neighbours dog are barking
The pool pump is breaking
The leaves settle on the surface
Float round and round
The baby is crying
Laundry is drying
Water drips to the ground
And she knows she should get up
Should be doing something other than
Staring into nothing
There must be something
She closes the door
Opens the bottle
Drinks and starts to pray
She says, what am I doing here?
This is not me
There's someone else in here
What am I doing now?
I watch myself, I am flying
Now I'm falling down
What am I doing here?
This is not me
There's someone else in here
What am I doing now?
I watch myself, I am flying
What am I doing here?
This is not me
There's someone else in here
What am I doing now?
I watch myself, I was flying
Now I'm falling down
