Jacarandas shake their leaves
Purple glides on an autumn breeze
Never felt so much at ease
With life lost
Birds fly south far from their homes
Winter sets on weary bones
The wind it howls and the hills they moan
And time stops
I suppose
There's no need to find reason
In the changing of the season
Just take it all for what it is
And breathe
Jacarandas start to bloom
Spring found its way home so soon
Revealed like the waxing moon
Are petals purple-blue
Life and light go hand in hand
Summer shines on fertile land
Footprints left in silky sand
Will fade
And so it goes
There's no need to find reason
In the changing of the season
Just take it all for what it is
And breathe
