What's the destination of my life
Are there aliens in the sky
Thoughts raining inside my mind
Take the reigns and I try to fly
Don't you dare call me Icarus, I strive for balance
My wings, were made for this challenge
Never give up, I won't be a captive
Never be the victim to my own inner madness
Never give to dominion to whispers that drift past
I am not my history, or my past
Live for every minute, every vision, every individual
Who's ever taken any interest in my path
The reason I wear my heart on my sleeve
I love deep, the scars help it to beat
The only language that I speak
So breathe in sync with me and we'll be free
I've held a whole array of solar rays
Inside my soul, in search of change
But digging in the dirt to plant the seed
To sprout the leaves, is where I found my tree of peace
You've got to walk in the dark
Before you can dance in the moonlight
You've got to walk under stars
Before you can chase the sun
Chasing the sun, as I walk past the
Fallen giants of the forest
Illusive, dancing across the tree tops
And the surface of the water
A breath of fresh air
Resting upon the granite and crystal throne
Blissful wilderness
A familiarity, so akin to the feeling of home
The steady trickle of the river
Ripples and echoes in my inner nature
Shifting and flowing with the course
Of time and the tide, forever patient
The scent of eucalyptus, surrounded by paperbark
When the warm hand of the sun falls upon my heart
Silence broken only by the birdsong on the breeze
Along the banks of the creek I finally found my peace
You've got to walk in the dark
Before you can dance in the moonlight
You've got to walk under stars
Before you can chase the sun
