Amber lights drape wet concrete
Rain down on me
Words take hostage; bite into my spine
In bursts it pours, it floods through my mind
From this feeling, I won't find reprieve
Skin crawling, hands shaking, I'm forgetting to breathe
Desperation, take ahold of me
Drag me down, shackled
I can't find myself
No one left here to find
Anguish; A deafening screech
Mind is racing
A slow bleed for each
Time I've stayed up
Red eyed, clenched teeth
Remorse, pervade my being
Guilt crafted
Conscious, I'm numb
Abating sympathy
Mentality none
Failing daily
Bite down on my tongue
Every breath, undeserving, I'm not worthy of one
Single moment, shame flows steady
Hold me still
And rain down on me
