Mustard - Faith Of A Mustard Seed Album Lyrics

Mustard - Faith Of A Mustard Seed Lyrics

Show Me the Way

[ Featuring Kirk Franklin ]

Shoo-doo-doo-doo-doo, doo-doo, doo-doo
Shoo-doo-doo-doo-doo (One more time)
Shoo-doo-doo-doo-doo, doo-doo, doo-doo
Shoo-doo-doo-doo-doo

Can you show? (Can you show?)
Show me the way (me the way) to you
Ah, ah
Maybe I, maybe I (listen to me, baby)
I don't know, I don't know where to find, oh

Listen, faith is believing in what you can't see
And before it becomes reality, the seed is planted into the dream
And without faith, it is impossible to believe
Oh, but if you could look past what you see right now
Because if what you see is all you see, then you do not see all that is to be seen
We gotta believe
Remember what you sow, you soon shall reap
You can move mountains with just a mustard seed
A mustard seed of faith can conquer your enemies
Turn the smallest dream into seismic realities
So wake up each day with a smile on your face
And don't let nothin' take your faith away

Mustard, get up
Mommy said get up now, we gon' be late for school, come on

A Song For Mom

If this world were mine
I would place at your feet
All that I own
You've been so good to me
If this world were mine
I'd give you the flowers, the birds, and the bees
And with your love beside me
That would be all I need
If this world were mine

I give you every diamond, every crystal, every pearl
I give you every watch and all the time in the world
I take you every place that you been wantin' to go
Fly you San Tropez and put you on a bigger spoke
Buy you every beach with warm water and a breeze
Sing to you every night 'fore you fall back to sleep
Play some guitar, I play the keys
If it wasn't for you, there would never be a me
And if this world were mine
I'd never let you cry
And I'd never let you die
Whoa, whoa
If this world were mine
If this world were mine, were mine
If this world were mine
If this world were mine

I'd give you the flowers, birds and the bees
And it be your love inside me
Everything I need
In this world
Ooh yeah
Ooh yeah
Come on

I'd give you everything, mama
I'd give you everything, mama, mama, mama
Yes, I would, yeah
Alright now, this next song is for OG skaters and OG skaters only (Ooh, wee, ooh, wee, ooh, wee)
I repeat, this next song is for OG skaters and OG skaters only
Mama, mama, mama, mama, mama
If you don't got your skates, get your ass off the floor

Truth Is

[ Featuring Roddy Ricch ]

(Mustard on the beat, ho)
Yeah

Ride through the night with my high beams on
Truth is, shawty got me goin' crazy
Truth is, I can't lie, you my favorite
Truth is, I'm too high, I'm too faded
Truth is, I put on for my foes
I done seen a million knock down my door
I can't talk 'bout shit I don't know
Cartier, feel like time froze

We just bust back, f*ck a chit-chat
I got dollars, I never gotta go tit for tat
I be inside her throat like a Tic Tac
And she never ever give me lip
Sippin' on this potion, I'm flyer than fly
She say I'm the GOAT and she got a look in her eyes
Got a lot of vibes, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa
I was taught to slide with a pole

Ride through the night with my high beams on
Truth is, shawty got me goin' crazy
Truth is, I can't lie, you my favorite
Truth is, I'm too high, I'm too faded
Truth is, I put on for my foes
I done seen a million knock down my door
I can't talk 'bout shit I don't know
Cartier, feel like time froze

We was at the trap house, had cash in the couch
New black Maybach when I'm backin' it out
We went out to eat, I spent some racks at TAO
I'm a real nigga, gotta keep it ten thousand
She gave me top-top, so I took her overseas
Took her to the dock, gotta cruise it on the beach
I got big knots, my Amiris go deep
And I can't lie, she got a hold on me, ayy

Ride through the night with my high beams on
Truth is, shawty got me goin' crazy
Truth is, I can't lie, you my favorite
Truth is, I'm too high, I'm too faded
Truth is, I put on for my foes
I done seen a million knock down my door
I can't talk 'bout shit I don't know
Cartier, feel like time froze

Ayy, hello
Hello
Ayy, what's happenin'?
Hey
Ayy, what you doin'?
Nothin' much, what you got goin' on?
Shit, bored, nigga, missin' you
Stop it, you is not thinkin' about me
You won't even let me phone my girl, bro
You play too much
I be thinkin' 'bout you, when I pull up on you, I'ma play that Fantasia
Whatever, when I be you

Pluto, Mustard
Twenty summers, nigga
We got permission to be here, yeah
Yeah, don't think we not bad, we just
We're hood niggas and bitches
Yeah, we know
We gon'
(Mustard on that beat, ho)

She can't be my bitch 'cause she done put on all the new designers
Emilio Pucci, Emilio Pucci and diamonds
Do whatever I say, do whatever I say like Simon
Audemars and credit cards when it's perfect timin'
Now that nigga get his one love, she know I'm grindin'
Gotta buy my bitch a foreign car, new Ferrari
Bitches shoppin' South of France, yeah, she was flyest
Bottega, purple leather, put her on gang, she'll tell you
How you know she the one?
You know when you know, you know you gotta be ready (Pluto)
Change the forecast, I just made it rain baguettes (that's what you ride)
Stars in the ceilin', transport you to the jetty (you too much of a vibe)
I ain't tryna share you with nobody, with nobody

That's mine, all mine
All mine
So I put her in designer so the world know that's mine
That's mine, all mine (yeah, yeah, yeah)
All mine, all mine (ooh, yeah)

I wanna show you out to the world, baby
We on vacation on a yacht, I sex you crazy
I spent a check up in a Hermes, it ain't trickin'
Bought you the Birkin and the Kelly, got me simpin'
Just to show 'em you're mine and nobody else's
Just to show you how special that you are to me, yeah
Just to show you 'em you're mine, yeah, yeah, yeah
That you're mine, Uncle Charlie, help me out (yeah, oh, yeah, yeah), yeah, yeah, yeah

That's mine (that's all mine), all mine
All mine
So I put her in designer so the world knows that's mine
That's mine (ooh-wee), all mine (yeah, yeah)
All mine (yeah), all mine (oh, ooh-wee, ooh, yeah)

Ooh-wee, yeah, oh
Shabba-dabba, twee, twee, twee
All mine, oh-wee, yeah, yeah
Shabba-dabba, twee, twee, twee
Oh, oh, yeah, ooh-wee

Whatever you want
Whatever you want
Whatever you want
Whatever you want
Whatever you want

Your call has been forwarded to an automatic voice message system
At the tone, please record your message
I don't know what the f*ck you've been on lately
But let me tell you somethin'
I do too much for your stupid ass for you to be treatin' me like this
And if I find out you f*ckin' cheatin' on me
I'm leavin' your ass and I'm not comin' back
All it take is one bad decision

One Bad Decision

[ Featuring Ella Mai, Roddy Ricch ]

Mustard on the beat, ho

Someone please call 911 (911)
Let them know I'm loading rounds
Got his name on my gun, yeah (mm, bad)
One bad decision, then I'm done (mm, bad, bad)
If he go missin', I'm the one, the one (mm, bad, bad)
'Cause he got that mm so good (mm, bad, good)
It's too good (good)

Seen the look in your eyes and I know that you tired
You was finding out 'bout bitches I would f*ck on the side
Knowing that you ain't playing games so I'm running short on time
You can give a f*ck about that Porsche in the driveway
But I hate to see you walk away from me
You can't match my energy
'Cause you know that pussy got my name on it
'Cause the pain sometimes make you f*ck a lame, don't it?
You was supposed to hold it down like a grip lock
I done see your motives in your diary
Rather give my time back than spend it on a timepiece
I ain't got no time, I ain't want no one
Got me duckin' all the sirens from 911

Someone please call 911 (911)
Let them know I'm loading rounds
Got his name on my gun, yeah (mm, bad)
One bad decision, then I'm done (mm, bad, bad)
If he go missin', I'm the one, the one (mm, bad, bad)
'Cause he got that mm so good (mm, bad, good)
It's too good (good)

This your last chance, I'm seeing flames
I got my left eye, all on your J's
You f*ck with my love, I open the cage
Doing the moves, so watch how you play
You think them girls up in Hollywood Hills know I'm crazy
But do you know where your Porsche has been lately?
Ooh, we got that mm so good, so good
What do you expect when you ain't gonna change?
You put more respect on the money and the fame
Give a dog a bone, and you know he's gon' play
Get him on the phone, I've been working on my aim (Aim)

Someone please call 911 (911)
Let them know I'm loading rounds
Got his name on my gun, yeah (mm, bad)
One bad decision, then I'm done (mm, bad, bad)
If he go missin', I'm the one, the one (mm, bad, bad)
'Cause he got that mm so good(mm, bad, good)
It's too good (good)

Don't make me do this, no
Don't make me feel like I played on you
What are we proving here?
I just wanna go and put my last name on you
Lay it all on the table if we gon' call it true (mm, bad, mm, bad, bad, mm)
Shawty, my mind ain't even set on this (Bad, bad, mm)
But I know you deserve better than this, whoa, whoa (Bad, good, good)
911

Someone please call 911 (911) (Won't you call them?)
Let them know I'm loading rounds (Loading rounds)
Got his name on my gun, yeah (got my name on the gun) (mm, bad)
(Oh, one bad decision, yeah) one bad decision, then I'm done (don't need guns) (mm, bad, bad)
If he go missin', I'm the one, the one ('Cause I know you the one) (mm, bad, bad)
'Cause he got that mm so good, so good? (Mm, bad, good)
It's too good, yeah (good)

(Mm, bad)
(Mm, bad, bad) whoa-whoa
(Mm, bad, bad) somebody, anybody
(Mm, bad, good, good) whoa-whoa (yeah), whoa-whoa
(Mm, bad) one bad decision
(Mm, bad, bad) if he go missin'
(Mm, bad, bad)
(Mm, bad, good, good)

Yak's Prayer

[ Featuring Kodak Black ]

Please believe me, me, me
Please believe me when I say
(Mustard on the beat, ho)

The streets got a nigga scarred
A lil' nine, but unique, got a nigga hard
Three kids, three baby mamas, now I want a wife
My mama told me, "Stop the killin', baby, now it's more life"
Prosecutor woman to leave the hood and get my mind right
Like, he don't know my niggas still killin' when I'm out of sight
In a 'vert full of Percs, I'm just passin' through life
She know none of this shit luck, so I had to do it twice

Came through at the day party
Chrome on the Chevrolet, twenty-eights, scarlet
Now everything I do, I'm doin' for my shawty
Puttin' it up, a bitch say she want some money, I ain't got it
And with me, you either ride or you die
I ain't lyin', I am 'bout this right now
Real demon, you can see it in my eye
Since a youngin, had the projects on fire
Know they stabbed me in my back
And it went straight through my heartm you knwo what I'm sayin'?
Took the knife out my back and I, mm
Took the knife out my heart and I chopped they head with it
Turned the betrayal to art and I made some bread with it
I kept it Z from the start and I brought the 'jects with me
Huh, guess I'ma be the one since ain't nobody else did it
Took a shroom in the bathroom
I dreamed of this on my desks in the classroom
I suited up like I'm Grammy-ready
Told my nigga free the commissary necessary, uh
Said I was comin' home Neveruary
Sharpen up your knife 'cause that pen' life very scary
Police fights, I got nothin' comin'
Hit the club, let my bitch throw my money for me
Twenty-three with a 45
Overnight success, but it still took a long time
I got Mustard on the beat like a sandwich
It's holiday season, if you see me, don't pander
My son want a PlayStation, lil' cousin wanna bench
I'ma do what I know how, I'ma try and get him one of these mansions
They see the flexin', but what you know 'bout goin' missin'?
Scopin' and pokin', I got a show out on Christmas
All my decisions from everything, I had a witness
'Cause all my big cousins was always in and out of prison
Gang life, I learned how to make knives in penitentiary
Say and write everything I did for you, you still ain't hear me

The streets got a nigga scarred
A lil' nine, but unique, got a nigga hard
Three kids, three baby mamas, now I want a wife
My mama told me, "Stop the killin', baby, now it's more life"
Prosecutor woman to leave the hood and get my mind right
Like, he don't know my niggas still killin' when I'm out of sight
In a 'vert full of Percs, I'm just passin' through life
She know none of this shit luck, so I had to do it twice

CDs, movies, movies, DVDs, two for five, five for ten, ten for twenty
Excuse me, can I get some spare change?
Does your auntie still sell food stamps?
We must wake up, brothers and sisters
We must realize real eyes see these real lies
Nigga, f*ck all that, blood, I just want a bean pie, blood, come on, blood
Ayy, cuh, let's go get a bottle, I'm tryna get active
Oh, she thick as f*ck, ayy, ayy, ayy, check it out
Oh, uh-uh, boy, ain't nobody finna talk to your broke ass
Whatever, you rude-ass bitch, you in my set, though
I see the homegirls would f*ck you up
Look what's on the menu, The Marathon Continues, I got Nipsey t-shirts
Cuh, this ain't even got a Marathon tag, give me these t-shirts, nigga
We caught an enemy, blood
Ayy, put your Franklins on and rush blood
Ah, ain't nothin' like the smell of the ghetto

Pray For Me

Pray for me
Pray for me
Pray for me
I want to know with them good (yeah)

First, give an honor to God
To Ms Carol who had first brought me and my moms
To the church, where I know I ain't been in so long
I just pray that when I call, they still pick up the phone, yeah
With judgement comin' from all angles
I never defend myself for approval from strangers
When they 'on't give a damn about my kids
Since you ain't gotta pray for me, just pray for them
And pray for my mom, and pray for my sis
Who miss my granny, we need her at times like this
To think I prayed for the world to be back open
Just to lose both of my grandparents to COVID
And pray for every one of my lil' cousins
We was really more like sisters and brothers
I gotta thank 'em for sharin' they dad
'Cause growin' up, he was really all that I had

You know, growin' up at a young age, my pops got deported to Jamaica
And my uncle stepped up and was the father that I never had
So when I say, like
Gotta thank my lil' cousins for sharin' their dad
They really shared they dad with me
He was the father figure I never had
And he really part of the reason why I am the way I am today
And why I'm as successful as I am in this, in this very moment

Instead of arguin' on live, I should've prayed with Tee FLii
I could've got straight to the point, instead of lettin' jokes fly
I should've called Ty, 'cause he don't struggle with his pride
If it was up to him the pusher, still'd be alive
So pray for me
Pray for YG
Pray for PC
Pray for TC
Pray for (?), H-jade and Clean
India and Ty, forever be the squad
Gotta pray for Teddy, gotta pray for Lays
Big S and lil' S, I love 'em both the same
They a big part of the reason why I didn't bang
And that's a big part of the reason I'm still here today
So pray for Migo and pray for Ella Mai
Everything we done together kept our family straight
Pray for anybody rockin' the 10 Summers chain
And any other homies that I didn't name

Know it's a lot of homies I ain't name and shit, man
Pray for B-Wade, a real childhood friend
Pray for Norah, my assistant, man
Pray for Shacko the handicap foolie
Pray for my engineer, David
Who been in this motherf*cker day in, day out
Blood, sweat and tears, for five years
Pray for my niggas Dae-Dae and Glove, man
Them niggas kept us safe so many motherf*ckin' nights
Pray for my nigga Uno too, man, y'know
I can't do this shit without thankin' that nigga K-Dot, man
He came through, swang through with the number one
Right before the album dropped, I ain't even need no rollout
So you gotta pray for him
Pray for Auntie Diane, Roddy and Keefa too
And last but definitely not least
You gotta pray for all my kids, Kylan, Kauner, and Kody
Most definitely gotta pray for the apple of my eye
And the love of my life, Brittney
And Bebe McFarlane the newest addition to the family
And even if I ain't say your name, you know what's up with me

I pray to God to rake my steps on this path I'm going
Gimme peace of mind, so that I stay focused
Gimme discipline, so that I keep going
To the gym even when results ain't showin'
Lord, gimme the faith I need to move mountains
Gimme financial freedom
Know that there's no accountant that's more able than you
There's no problems on this Earth greater than you
And if its your will, then
Let me do everything that I was created to do
Help me change lives, like you changed minds
Like you changed mines, how could I forget?
How you made a millionaire out of 15 cent
When a dollar and a dream wasn't always what it seem
Sometime I couldn't see, but I still believed
And then you made it real, you gave me everything I need
And all I had to have was a faith of a mustard seed

So the point of this album is to have faith
No matter what field of work you in
No matter what you doin' in life
Have faith in it, and believe in it, at all times
And especially having God in your life first
Because in a world full of the Devil doing God knows what
As long as you keep God first, you'll be alright
I've always had the ultimate confidence
I've always believed in myself
And I always try to be the best I can be
It was instilled in me as a kid

When I was making this album, man
I went through three different titles
And about a hundred different emotions
And I just remember a conversation I had with Neil
When he was doing "Perfect Ten"
Said, "Man you should name your album, 'Faith of a Mustard Seed'"
At that very moment, I didn't know exactly what he meant by it
But I knew it was something out the Bible
When I went and I did my research on what "Faith of a Mustard Seed" meant
It says that "with a faith of a mustard seed
God will allow you to move mountains"
And I feel like where I come from
I moved just about every mountain that was in my way
And still movin' em, with the faith of God

You know when I was young, you know, when I say "First giving honor to God"
To Ms Carol who had first brought me and my Mom's
You know that was like, that's a real thing
You know how I moved from The Jungles, to West LA
And I met this lady named Carol, her son was a drummer at the church
And I remember one day I seen her going to church, she was like
"You wanna go to church with me?" And I'm like "Yeah", and I went
You know I really went because I really wanted to be the drummer
But Jermaine was always the drummer
So I never became the drummer, or whatever
But I, uhm, I went
And I became a member of Believers Community Baptist Church
And after I went a few times, and I became a real member of the Church
I got baptized
And I think after that I told my mom
Where I-, guess, my mom was at the baptize ceremony
But I asked my mom, "Mom, you wanna go to church?"
And she was like "Yeah I'd go"
You know my mom never stopped going to church, even when I stopped
You know so
I guess that was like a sign from God
And it also brought me and my mom closer
You know she lived by
I like you know I'm prayin' for you (you know I'm praying for you always)
And I don't know, you know, my mom probably gonna be mad at me
But she used to be real bad at like cussin' us out
Me and my sisters would hear her start cussin' like
"Get yo' ass in the house" (get yo' ass in the house)
You know that type of thing
But uh, you know, once she, once sh- she went to church
It kinda like changed her for the better
You know and it, uhh, softened her up a lil' bit
And I never told her that but uh
I think that was the best thing that ever happened to me and her
You know cause it was me and her
My sister moved to Atlanta with her husband and stuff
And had her own family
Recently just moved em' back here to be closer to us, but
You know, uhm, not to make it about that but
For the most part, man I just wanted everybody out there, you know
You been watchin' me this whole time
Studying my career, and you watched my whole journey
You've seen me grow, you've seen who I am, you've seen who I'd become
You've seen how I mentor my kids, cause I ain't have a father
I had my uncle, but he taught me how to be a father
And uhh, I always admired that about him
That he took me in like I was his son that he never had
Cause he only got daughters
But uhm, it made me be the best father that I could be
And know that, you know
Not to never take that for granted, cause all you got is time
And you can't get time back
Uhm, but to the fans, you know, the little kids
The little producers in the hood
That look at me and, look at it like it's too far
It's really not, I came exactly from where you come from
And anything is possible when you're with the faith
And hard work gonna always be talent, everytime
So I want you to understand, you know
You can do anything you put your mind to
"Faith of a Mustard Seed" is a testimony of me
Just, you know, growing and bein'
Who I knew I always could be, and who I was always gonna try to be
No matter what, nobody could've gotten in the way of me being who I am
And to show you that nobody can get in the way of you
Until next time

And oh yeah, if you ever in doubt of when I'm thinking about you
Just know I'm praying for you
So you should pray for me too
