INTERVIEWER:
So Jose, you had a good win over Italy in the last match, but suffered injuries to Diaz and Silva. Will they be available for today s game?
JOSE:
Yes, we win very well. I thought we looked strong in the defence and midfield. We have been keen to get Diaz back, and yes, he will start. Silva also will start for us.
INTERVIEWER:
Since coming in as manager, you have won six out of the last seven games. What do you put this down to?
JOSE:
I think er the players are working hard. They are training well. As a team we have developed good tactical changes. We also see some young new players coming through, and so we give them a chance and they do very well for me, so we just continue and try to win the game.
INTERVIEWER:
Fantastic. I m sure you are aware that England have also won six from seven. How do you see this game?
JOSE:
I see this game like every other game. There are two halves, and we must win both. Both England and Portugal are counter-attacking teams with pace in the final third. We are confident in our approach to every game, and I believe in the players. I have to get to the final and win.
INTERVIEWER:
We saw yesterday a shock result with Poland s 3-1 victory over Brazil. So should you win, Poland will be your next opponents. How do you feel about that?
JOSE:
They play some very good football and have some excellent players. We have a massive game today, very massive, this is my focus, I do not focus on what might be or could be: I focus on today and today only.
INTERVIEWER:
Thank you very much, Jose.
