Nolan Kiser - Untitled Poem 1 Lyrics

Nolan Kiser - Untitled Poem 1 Lyrics

I have distinct memories as a kid
Of watching TV from the left side
My face only a few inches away
Twisting the proportions

I still remember thinking
That Katherine Ross was a titan
And Dustin Hoffman a scrawny beatnik

I always wondered
How her feet never managed to squish him through the sidewalk
Like a piece of old gum
Thrown out after losing its flavor

I still watch the same old movies
But from the middle of the screen I can see
Their eerily equal height
In LED squares

And that really makes me smile

I wonder how many times I'd have to watch it to see every angle
Since we've all probably never seen it exactly the same way
